Subconsciously you may take in the information that would be great blog topic ideas, but…
We discussed in our last blog how the Reticular activating system is really the gate keeper of our conscious mind. It sifts through all the information and allows you to be qaware of what is relevant and important.
All that is needed for you to do is get the R.A.S. to let the potential blogging ideas through to the conscious part of your brain, so you will recognize the idea as soon as you see it.
Use Questions directed to yourself
This can be done by posing a question to yourself that your brain will need to answer.
Write it out on a post-it or card. Read it to yourself every morning when you first wake up and every evening when you go to bed. Think seriously about it for a moment, and then let your brain do what it was designed to do.
Anything that you habitually process over a period of time will indicate to the R.A.S. its importance. The answer to the question will start to show up everywhere. These answers have always been there. You just never noticed them consciously because you subconsciously didn’t consider them relevant or important.
Be positive, not negative
However, here is a word of caution. Your question must be in positive form. “How will I find fresh new content on puppy training” instead of, “Why can’t I find…”. Remember the subconscious is not the reasoning part of our brain. It will notice and forward the information you consciously keep requesting. If you ask why you can’t find something. Eventually, that will be the data your R.A.S. will let through—You start to notice reasons why you cannot find it.
So, be positive. Phrase your question positively – “How will I, … or “where will I”. If you seriously do this regularly twice a day, you will become extraordinary in your ability to come up with relevant ideas because they will become obvious everywhere around you.
Of course, this is most effective when it becomes a habit over a period of time.
Meanwhile, you probably want another source that will provide new fresh information as soon as possible.
Here is a good source where you can immediately have access to the content you may be looking for.
Google Alerts is an excellent source
Set up a Google Alert on the subject. Google will send links to your email to websites containing the best relevant content to whatever subject you request.
You can even request this be sent regularly at a certain times of the day.
Of course you obviously would not copy the content. That would not only be unfair, unethical and illegal, but it could get you sued and your website could lose rank and credibility.
What you can safely do, is get good ideas from these sources. And basically [put these ideas in your own words. You may even find a fresh different approach to a subject you’ve already covered in the past.
This is a very good way of expanding your knowledge on the subject as well. A good teacher needs to be an excellent student.
So between these two methods you should have no problem in finding unlimited blog topic ideas.
